The retractable roofs never really caught on. Increased rigidy, increased safety, and open air motoring.

Is that a Regal? I am a huge Convertible fan but I see how a retractable roof would be a big plus.

Smart has them, Fiat has them....they caught on plenty for the right market...

Been there, done that. I present the Baur TC4.
The rear section - from the b-pillar bar back - folds down, and there's a hard cover for the section over the front seats that fits in the trunk when not in use.

Sunroofs are too cheap and convertibles look so much better for about the same price.

I've always like this idea - if it has more rollover protection than a convertible, I'm all for it.
